Grunge (sometimes also called the Seattle Sound) is a sub genre of alternative rock that emerged in the mid-1980s in the U.S. state of Washington, especially in the Seattle area. Inspired by punk rock, heavy metal and indie rock, grunge is generally recognizable by the sound of heavy guitar distortion and lyrics melankonis or apatistik.
Early grunge movement began to appear at the end of the 1980s around Seattle through the independent label Sub Pop. Grunge became commercially successful in the first half of the 1990s, especially since the release of Nirvana's Nevermind and Ten by Pearl Jam. The success of these bands increase the popularity of alternative rock and made grunge the most popular form of music at that time. However, many grunge bands are not comfortable with fame. Although many grunge bands broke up or disappeared from the end of the 1990s, their influence continues to have implications for subsequent development of modern rock music.
Grunge is a musical that tells the overflow which is in itself, or tell the story of life that can not be forgotten.
